(Jun 9, 2010) - The Regis community wishes to congratulate recent graduate Chris Bates, class of 2010 on his selection in the 2010 Major League Baseball Draft. Chris was selected by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 15th round and is the first Regis student-athlete to be drafted by a professional sports franchise. Chris was the 17th High School left handed pitcher selected in the draft and he will attend and pitch for the University of Richmond if he decides to attend college instead of signing with the Brewers.
