Admissions

Admission to Regis is highly competitive. Catholic boys who have demonstrated superior academic ability in elementary school (parochial, public or private) are invited to submit applications, and take the school's nationally standardized scholarship examination. Only 8th grade boys may apply; no transfer students are accepted. On the basis of these applications, elementary school records and recommendations, and the test results, the school designates approximately 230 semi-finalists, who are interviewed by faculty and alumni. From these comes the freshman class of 135. The primary consideration in awarding scholarships is the academic ability and past performance of the candidate; the financial need of the applicant and his desire for a Catholic education are also taken into positive consideration
